	Bailey	Female German Shepherd Dog /Corgi mix about 10-12 months old. Bailey is a cute little German shepherd/corgi mix. She was rescued from a shelter as a young pup but has now fallen on hard times and was rescued as she was headed back to a shelter. She's now about 10 months old and in search of her forever home. She needs a strong owner or may do best as an only dog. She has been through basic obedience but does need reminders. She is house broken and crate trained. Loves to go for walks and play fetch. Will you be the dream home for this unique little pup?
	Bolt	Male German Shepherd Dog /White German Shepherd mix about 4-6 months old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs. How Bolt ended up in a shelter with a broken leg is a mystery. What we do know is we had to help him, we were able to raise the funds to repair his leg and he is now in a foster home. Bolt is just 4 months old!
	Cyrus	Male German Shepherd Dog /Retriever mix about 2-3 months old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Introducing the "Cadets", 9 adorable black and tan Shepherd mix puppies. Our 4 boys & 5 girls were born on 2/07/13, barely 24 hours after their mama Chatzi was rescued from the shelter. Happy & healthy, they have grown up in one of our foster homes and are eagerly awaiting graduation day when they will be old enough to join their new families. The "Cadets" will be ready for adoption the first weekend in April and we are currently accepting applications for them.
	Jax	Male Shiba Inu /Boxer mix about 7-9 months old. Gets along with other dogs. Jax is a nearly blind & deaf young man, about 7-9 months old. Please don't let his disabilities get in the way of learning about this great boy. He LOVES life, acts just like any puppy should. He is in a large foster pack and would probably do best with a gentle companion as he does on occasion get overwhelmed. He is well on the way to being housebroken.
	Marco	Male Pit Bull Terrier about 10-12 months old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Marco is brand new to Coastal German Shepherd Rescue. Please check back for more information and additional photos!
	Rango	Male Labrador Retriever /Pit Bull Terrier mix about 7-9 months old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Rango is an 8 month old Labrador/Pit Bull mix. He was found abandoned in the desert, extremely dehydrated and very hungry. He loves bones, treats, and squeaky toys. He has quite a lot of energy and loves to play!
	Rudy	Male German Shepherd Dog about 10-12 months old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. You're just gonna' love this young little guy! To refer to Rudy as being smart is so unjustly inadequate, it is nearly comical. This smaller fluffy young Einstein appears have a little Border Collie / Australian Collie in his mix. If you adopt Rudy, you're not likely to need a TV for entertainment anymore.

Agatha is a toy fanatic and can keep herself occupied for hours. Not only is she a young gal but she's also housebroken. Agatha is ready for her forever home!
	Alekona	Female German Shepherd Dog about 10-12 months old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Alekona is a pretty youngster who got pregnant and had puppies before her 1st birthday. Sill just a puppy herself, she is now ready for a new start with a new family. She is a very sweet and friendly girl and has lived with other dogs and small children. "Kona" is housebroken, but since she is still a young dog she will need obedience training and guidance.

	Athena	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Rescued from a family that no longer wanted her, Athena is a lovely medium sized bicolor girl that does well with other playful dogs.
	Ava	Female German Shepherd Dog /Labrador Retriever mix about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly. This sweet smaller Shepherd / Lab mix is Ava. She has a fine soft light tan / black coat, her chest, ears & paws feel like silk. It's hard to keep your hands off her, which is just fine for Ava, as she is always looking for a pat on the head or a rub of the belly.

	Barbie	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. This dyanmic duo was found running the streets but their luck has changed and they are now looking for homes of their own.
	Bella	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly. Bella is a bold and beautiful gal. She is approximately 18 months-2 years old. True to her breed, she is loyal and protective and will need a family that has some Shepherd experience.
	Benz	Male German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Benz is a sweet, mature gentleman and would make a great companion for someone who likes to take leisurely strolls through the neighborhood and can appreciate a good nap.

	Boe	Male German Shepherd Dog /Husky mix about 6-9 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly. Boe is between 6 and 8 years of age and is a medical needs dog (click on his picture for more details). He appears to be full Shepherd, but may contain a very slight addition of Husky or Malamute in his distant bloodline. Boe's coat is an extremely handsome combination of grey/white/tan. People often compliment Boe on his barrel chest and smart facial expressions. He's very intelligent, learning quicker than most other dogs. One look into Boe's eyes and you'll know. Boe Knows.

Perfect as an only dog, Caesar is of a certain age (we think about 7 - 9). He is a lover with all humans, large & small. A perfect gentleman on a leash, he loves short walks. Caesar recently damaged his tail in the kennel which resulted in a "bob". The doctors felt that the damage couldn't be resolved and recommended that removing part of his tail would be the best course of action. It doesn't affect Caesar - he thinks he looks cool!

This young boy has not done well in boarding and under the stress, began tail spinning. This caused damage to his tail which has resulted in a partial tail amputation. This 14 mo old red & black boy has a sweet disposition, is a bit high strung and should go to a home that wants to give him a job. 	Daytona	Male German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs. Daytona is an amazing boy who was saved from a shelter in the high desert after he was abandoned. A petite guy, he weighs in at approximately 60 pounds. Daytona's main goal is to be at your side and for you to reward him with love and cuddles. He plays with toys, especially his tennis ball and stuffed raccoon. He gets along with other dogs, people and children. We've been told he gets along with cats too if properly introduced. Daytona is pending adoption
	Delilah	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs. Delilah is probably about 3 years old. Her name, meaning delicate and amorous, aptly describes her. She is not only gentle, but affectionate to boot!

	Demi	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not for homes with kids. Not cat friendly. Demi is about 3 years old and has a condition called mega-esophagus. Her foster has it under control and while Demi cannot have many treats, she loves ice cream and yogurt. Demi would do best in a quiet home with a single person (preferably a woman) that she can give her full attention to. Demi will be losing her foster home in early June and is not a candidate for boarding so we are actively searching for a new foster home for her.

	Faith	Female German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly. Faith was returned to us after several years with a family. While Faith has lived with other animals, she is not good with small dogs nor with cats. She is great with dogs her own size. She even comes with AKC paperwork. She's about 8 years old and in excellent shape.

	Floss	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs. Floss is a beautiful German Shepherd needing to fill out as she is currently underweight. She is great with big dogs but a little too interested in small animals. Floss adores children!

He handles well on a leash, gets good mileage on walks, and can carry his own poop bags on his leash attachment! Come to an event to give Ford a test drive!

Since these photos, she's had a much needed bath and looks even more glamorous with her pretty fringed coat! Foxy is a mild energy girl who is easy to walk. She loves people and is very affectionate! Though her ideal home will be as a solo dog, a easy going male that will give her space can be her compromise, she absolutely loves her human companions and will be your best friend.

Highway is a beautiful dog who came to Coastal when his time was up at the shelter. He knows basic commands, is very athletic and adores the attention of people. 	Ivy	Female German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Ivy originally came to us with an eye condition - pannus, an easily treatable disease that can get out of control untreated. We've taken her to a trusted opthalmologist on several occasions, faithfully treated her with inexpensive ointments and she has blossomed mentally & physically over time. She is dog friendly, housebroken and will bond quickly with her humans once they have chosen her!
	Jodie	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Jodie is one of our largest females currently in our organization. Jodie is very sweet with people but does not wish to share the spotlight with other four-legged members of society. She will do best in a home where plenty of exercise in on the daily agenda!
	Kaiya	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs. Kaiya is about 18 mos to 2 years old! She's a sweetheart, small dog and big dog friendly, this girl is the complete package.
	Kasey	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Kasey came to Coastal via a good Samaritan who found her near death on the railroad tracks in Torrance. After the emergency vet stabilized her phnuemonia it was discovered that she has a conditional known as Mega-Esophogus. Kasey is living with a foster family that is familiar with the routine and it only takes a few extra minutes to feed her in the Doggy High Chair twice a day. Read more about Kasey .....
	Kaylee	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs. A smaller, shy princess Kaylee is in need of a family with another dog, big or small! She loves her crate or any safe place she has set aside for her. Kaylee is perfectly potty trained and knows how to ask to be let out to take care of business. Every dog has their unique personality, and Kaylee is no exception. She likes to howl and sing in response to fire trucks, but she isn't a barker.
	Kendall	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Homes with no other dogs. Kendall is bold, beautiful and ALL German Shepherd. She is good on a leash, she loves to go out for walks. She is selective about other dogs and makes a strong presence so we are looking to place her as the only queen in her castle.
	Klaus	Male German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. If Klaus had a motto it might be a line from this Frank Sinatra tune: "To love and be loved, that's what life's all about." One look into Klaus' big brown eyes and this boy will capture your heart! Though he may have a grey muzzle, Klaus is a lively boy who loves to romp and play but is equally comfortable taking in quiet time while resting his head on his person's lap.
	Layla	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Layla will have you on your knees in no time flat. She's sweet, lovable and has the kind of personality that quickly becomes addicting. A loving family deserves a well behaved girl like Layla.
	Leo	Male German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Leo is one dog who has thrived in boarding! He has gained weight, gained strength in his joints and has a stunning fluffy coat. With the right home, Leo will thrive - he hasn't had much direction in his young life and we are aching for his second chance!

	Louise	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Thelma and Louise were rescued together from a far flung shelter just in the nick of time! They are fostered together and are a wonderful pair!
	Lulu	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Lulu came to us with a nasty case of pneumonia. She was so weak, she had to be carried to the car to be hospitalized.. Happily this beautiful girl has bounced back quickly and is ready for her new home.
	Maggie Sponsored by Nadia Adams	Female German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Not cat friendly. Homes with no other dogs. Miss Maggie came to Coastal from a horrible hoarding situation in which the owner ultimately passed away. She is gorgeous and very smart!
	Magic	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Not cat friendly. Magic knows no strangers, she loves everyone if you are looking for a watch dog, she's not it! Magic has soldiered through a number of surgeries in her time with us and she is rehabbed and ready to go! It has taken a village to get her to the point of adoptable - a medical team, a very dedicated foster family and a behaviorist, not to mention a pet sitter who slashed their rates to help her get through her early days.
	Major	Male German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Well, well, well... What do we have here? It’s Major! It would appear as though a Shepherd and a Malamute created the perfect physical specimen. Both Shepherd and Malamute qualities and characteristics appear to be evenly balanced in this handsome, playful young man.

Max is still a giant puppy so will need a family that can run that energy off on a daily basis. He learns easily but will need a strong leader who will set rules and boundaries for him.

He is great with people but needs to brush up on his canine skills. We will be working with him to develop some better manners.
	Meiko	Male German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Meiko came to Coastal underweight and missing most of his hair due to a yeast infection and was not much more than skin and bones. Weekly medicated baths, oral medication, extra feedings and a lot of TLC, Meiko is now looking great and is back to being a healthy, happy pup.
	Molly	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not everyone can be as beautiful as our young Molly. She understands and commiserates with those dogs that are less blessed than she is. Her modeling pictures don’t do her any justice. She is beyond brilliant and incredibly aware of her surroundings. Molly would love to live in a home which can provide a loving, consistent, and stable environment. We are looking for a shepherd experienced home for Molly.
	Montana	Male German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Montana has the look of a model on the cover of a magazine. His adoptive family should have a lot of prior experience with the personality traits and handling of German Shepherds. Mr. Montana would love to have a confident female K-9 companion to hang with as well!
	Nikko	Male German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly. Nikko is a handsome boy! He’s approximately 4 years old and has got the smarts to go with the looks. He does well with medium to larger dogs. He is not cat friendly and not particularly enamored of small dogs either.
	Paloma	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Not cat friendly. Homes with no other dogs. Paloma is a beautiful well trained girl who prefers to be the only princess in her home. She can be around other dogs and tolerates submissive males but would be best as an only dog.
	Queenie	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Queenie was rescued from a remote airport landing strip after who knows how long she was a stray. She is a pretty petite young lady, maybe 3 years old. She is wonderful with other dogs and with the right person, will be fantastic.

If you are looking for a hiking partner, long distance runner, this is the girl for you! Sally is a stunning medium sized German Shepherd who entered the shelter system to face an uncertain destiny; Coastal stepped in to welcome her with open, loving arms! She has her whole life ahead of her and Sally can hardly wait to meet her new forever family to experience all of the joys life has to offer.

	Sandy	Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Homes with no other dogs. Sweet but terribly shy, that's Sandy! About 4 -5 yrs old, Sandy is looking for someone who will help build her confidence and show her that the world isn't so scary. Sandy will make a wonderful companion for the right patient person.
	Senta	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Before coming to see Senta, you should prepare yourself to meet the prettiest girl in the world. Senta isn't just K-9 eye candy... there's more to her than that. It's hard not to wonder what transpired in her past life that brought her to us. Senta will do best in an experienced household without small children.

She gets along great with other dogs. Her family dumped her at the shelter after she jumped the fence one too many times because they refused to allow her to be inside. A little shy, she will do best in a quiet home that will show her that the world can be a good place!
	Skyler	Male White German Shepherd /Husky mix about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. When we first rescued Skyler, he was quite ill with pneumonia. Hospitalized over the holidays, he has now bounced back and is ready for his forever home. He's been in a foster home, a condo and has really come out of his shell.

Probably mishandled at an early age, he ended up in a shelter going kennel crazy and damaging his tail due to chasing it non stop. We were able to rescue him and his tail has had two surgeries - now about the length of a hunting dog tail, he's made great strides mentally & physically. He will be a great companion for an active home that is looking for a dog who could do advanced work and be actively engaged every day.

Tessa wasn't well socialized as a puppy so she can be a bit shy sometimes. She'd do best in a quiet home, kids might be a little overwhelming for her.
	Thelma	Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Thelma and Louise were rescued together from a far flung shelter just in the nick of time! They are fostered together and are a wonderful pair!
	Tobi	Female German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Tobi came to us on her very last day from an impacted county shelter. She was sad and forlorn, but that has changed!

He went to his first adoption event and enjoyed the day in the sun with people fussing over him. Brute is a hefty 90 lbs of mostly muscle; he stands strong and proud, like a body guard. No matter what he has had to endure, Captain Cupcake holds no grudges towards anyone. He will be a perfect forever friend in any home!
	Chase	Male German Shepherd Dog /Retriever mix about 6-9 years old. Chase is a 5-7 year old German Shepherd mix who somehow landed in a local shelter. This sweet boy needs an understanding new family because he may not have lived in a proper household before and needs to be taught his boundaries. A loving alpha adopter with experience training dogs would be great for Chase as he is a bit insecure. Chase enjoys hanging with female canines or submissive males and would prefer a home without young children. He is truly a loving and friendly dog who just wants food and hugs and a soft warm bed!

Sweet Clarisse had the luck of the draw on the very last day along with her five six-week old puppies! Her babies have all since found their forever families but this sweetheart is still patiently waiting! She did an outstanding job as a mother but would now love to find a loving home of her own.

Originally placed when she was about a year old, her family's circumstances have changed and they can no longer keep her. Daisy is well behaved, would be a good condo dog - she definitely prefers to be an only 4 legged companion in a home.

Sweet Dalena came to us with 4 puppies close to adoption age - how they all survived is a miracle. Dal is only about a couple of years old and she is such a sweetie! This happy go lucky boy has a zest for life. He loves to spend his days playing with the other dogs at the kennel, especially the girls! He can jump and catch just about anything and will make an excellent agility dog.

	Hudson	Male German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Hudson came to Coastal due to a hoarding situation. It took our volunteer a couple of hours to round him and Gideon up to get into the truck for a ride to safety. He is decompressing well and we think Hudson is going to be just fine!
	Karcsi	Female White German Shepherd /Retriever mix about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Karcsi and her "kids" were rescued from death in the eleventh hour by Coastal. Extremely underweight, poor Karcsi did her best to take care of her family, even as the shelter adopted out some of her unweaned puppies. She is housebroken and well mannered, she loves attention and wants to please. With her puppies having been adopted, she is now ready for a family to take care of her.
	Kingsley	Male German Shepherd Dog /Retriever mix about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Kingsley is a character! A rough-n-tumble play with the boys and love the girls kind of character! Between 3 and 4 years old, funny, smart, good-looking, no separation anxiety, crate-trained - a great dog!

Everyone who sees her falls in love! She is just a little thing and we are debating that she is a staffie mixed with french bulldog! Laney loves everyone and is a wiggly waggly little spitfire.
