Jeb

Jeb's feeling better now, he says thank you to all the people who are helping him!

Poor Jeb! How such a big, sweet, affectionate, handsome, three year old got into so much trouble and all banged up, we'll never know. Luckily he's safe with Coastal now.

As you can see from Jeb's QuickTime video, he's a bit abashed at being the center of attention!

Jeb was not kept safe and was hit by a car on the Fourth of July. A good samaritan took him to the vet, then to the shelter. The shelter kept Jeb as long as possible, and then asked us to step in and save this beautiful boy. Jeb has been progressing and our vet believes he will recover 100%, although its possible that he may have a slight limp for the rest of his life. Jeb is incredibly stoic and plunks down with his head in your lap to get his bandage changed, he seems to enjoy all the TLC he gets and never even winces. Jeb is very tall and big boned. He weighs about 75 pounds now but is very thin, and will probably look good with another 15 to 20 pounds of weight on him.

Jeb has only one injury still resolving on his front leg, but but every day he gets better. Jeb is rolling over, chewing on toys and running again!

Jeb is a very good boy, and he's the big, strong, silent type. He doesn't show a lot of emotion - but you know for sure he loves you! Jeb is very smart, knows his sit and down commands, and walks well on a leash. He's housebroken, he's good with other dogs, big and small (we haven't met any really small ones yet), and he's a gentle and calm boy who gets very attached to his people.

Jeb is never happier than when he can follow you around the house. When you stop for a moment, you'll inevitably have a 15 pound dog head resting on your foot! Jeb gets a bit anxious when nobody's around, so he's likely to do better in a home where people are home a lot during the day. We don't think Jeb got much attention from his people in the past, and he's soaking up all the loving he can get. Overall Jeb is a wonderful boy who deserves the best after all he's been through!
