While visiting a very high kill shleter, we saw Miss Maya huddled in the corner of her large metal kennel--shaking
and crying in fear. This young girl was visibly shaken and extremely fearful of her uncertain future. We knew then that Maya was a special dog that needed our help.
Maya has been in a foster home for 2 days now and has made a complete turnaround! She now asks for attention and is very playful with the shepherds in her foster
home. Maya is beggining to trust again and needs a loving home to teach her that no one will hurt her again. We believe that Maya is very young, less than a year old.
Everything in life is new to her---the TV was an interesting new find! It seems that getting a nice meal twice a day is also a new development for her, as she is so
excited to see her bowl of food arrive. Maya has nice manners and takes correction nicely. She will make a fabulous companion for the right family and a buddy for
another playful dog.
