Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Its amazing that Jersey (formerly named Sierra) and her brother Frisco are alive. They were found running together along the side of the 215 Freeway barely avoiding an untimely demise. A good Samaritan was able to get them safely into his car - he eventually called us to take them in, after posting pictures near their "found" location. Jersey is about 2. She is quite energetic and will require a committed guardian. Jersey is wonderful with older children and is housebroken. She gets too excited around young children, and needs to be in an home with adults or older children. She is eager to please and corrects easily when provided with firm direction. Jersey loves people and gets a kick out of energetic walks or runs. She would be a perfect jogging partner. Properly introduced, Jersey gets along with other dogs.

Jersey is particular about men and will need extra patience when being introduced to and living with men. She is frightened of some men and would greatly benefit from patience, understanding and love. With kind, gentle and consistent behavior from the man in her house, we believe Jersey will do quite well.
