Adele

We received a call from a breeder and trainer who had three abandoned sisters in his kennel. At eight months old, he wasn't able to sell them because he doesn't have their papers. We are attempting to obtain their pedigree information - we do know that they are descended from German working lines and American show lines. Each girl is a beautiful sable - Adele has more of a plush coat and Molly and Claire have shorter coats.

Each one is (no surprise) a very quick study and in the week that we've had them in foster homes, all have really blossomed into fun loving, energetic and happy girls. None of them took well to a crate initially which is surprising given their life in a kennel to date. Adele & Molly are learning to sleep quietly in a crate - Claire is fine on the floor at the foot of the bed. They aren't reliably housebroken but pretty darn close. They each walk beautifully on the leash and are anxious to learn. Adele is the largest of the three while Molly & Claire are on the petite side.

We suggest a minimum donation of $500 for each of these beautiful ladies. This tax deductible donation will help us help less fortunate dogs.

Because these girls are from working lines, they have a heightened intensity about them. They'll make wonderful family dogs but we encourage anyone interested in adopting one of them to understand the personality of working dogs and be prepared to provide work/training/activities to them on a daily basis.

A puppy is a big commitment, one you need to be prepared to make for 12 to 15 years. Don't think about adopting a puppy unless you are willing to go through chewed up shoes, dug up plants and obedience and training, and making sure you'll always have a place for your canine family member.

If you are interested in meeting Adele or her sisters, fill out our online application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Due to the overwhelming response we get to puppies, we will not be able to provide information until we have an application on file.
