Alexa

Alexa is a beautiful 4 month old puppy. She is in the process of discovering the "good life." Alexa has spent her short life as an outdoor dog with little human interaction and is a little confused as to why she is allowed to be in the house now. The other Shepherds in her foster home coaxed her in and quickly explained to her that she is a German Shepherd and in this house, she is a member of the family, which means she gets to be in inside with everyone. Alexa took the message to heart and parked herself on the couch, where she basked in the attention her foster parents showered on her.

A little later in the evening, Alexa met another member of the family, Maggie the cat and shrugged her off to be just another furry thing with legs.

Alexa is sleeping in a crate at night, without any problem and waits to be let out in the morning. After her beauty rest in the comfort of the house, she is bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning and ready for some good old fashion play time.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

If you are interested in meeting Alexa, please contact Sanika via email at sanibonn18@aol.com. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
