Alexis
Fast forward one year later, and Alexis' family is getting a divorce and neither has room for her. So, once again, she is looking for a new home.
What we know about Alexis and what we have learned: Alexis was never socialized with dogs so she didn't know how to react when she was introduced to them for the first time. Her first night away from home, she spent the night with a 14-week-old puppy. She's now realized that other dogs are actually fun to be around and good to play with, much better than trying to entertain herself for hours upon hours. She knows how to bow to invite play. She loves chasing around the house, but loves to be chased equally and will play the "Tag, You're It" game and then go running to see if her playmate will follow behind her.
Alexis attaches very quickly to the person caring for her. She is understandably insecure right now and clings to the person who offers her hope for tomorrow. She is very eager to learn and even more eager to please. She suffers some separation anxiety, but with a stable home, this can easily be overcome.
Despite the fact that her family did not have children, Alexis loves children. She would love to have a family with another easy-going dog and children, but most importantly, someone to give her love and security.
Alexis has been up to bat twice now in the world of adoptions. Could you be her homerun??

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis.
