Andy

Andy is a handsome one year old black and tan boy. He's extra large so be ready to receive lots of extra love! Like many dogs who find their way to Coastal German Shepherd Rescue and ultimately to their forever home, Andy was a stray who came to a high kill shelter after being abandoned by his human family and left tied to a bike rack. Believe it or not, the behaviorist at that shelter was afraid of his bark and, therefore, didn't think he was worthy of being evaluated. Not easily put off by a bark, we evaluated him and decided, of course, that he was worthy of keeping!

Andy is a very sweet guy but he probably hasn't seen a lot of the world in his short life. Right now he is a little afraid and looks to the person whom he is with to give him security and protection. He will benefit from some basic training but he already does well on a leash. He's probably never seen a cat but he passed his cat test, running quickly in the other direction. With the proper introduction, we think he likes dogs.

We believe that with a confident family and consistent training, Andy will be a very loving, gentle giant in someone's lucky home. Currently in a boarding facility, he would love to have a warm bed and a place to call home whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home.

We are asking a $500.00 donation for Andy's adoption.

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Tracey via email at tmac@san.rr.com. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
