Aria

Aria was picked up from a high kill shelter in LA. She’s an incredibly sweet girl who we suspect has a history of abuse. She is leery of strangers, dropping her head if a strange hand is extended but she’s truly a loving, happy gal. Her tail wags non-stop and she is generous with her kisses once she knows you mean her no harm. She is so grateful for kindness that she’ll bond very quickly to anyone who gives her attention without pain.

When she first came to us, she would try to escape if her person left her alone in a fenced yard. She has gotten more and more self-confident in her time with us and her fear of being left alone has eased but she will need an adjustment period. She can be bossy with some dogs when she meets them, but currently lives happily in a multiple dog foster home. She is housebroken, sits politely for her treats and walks nicely on a leash.

Aria is looking for someone with the patience to sooth her insecurities, someone who can make her believe that not all humans are cruel. In return she will give to you the heart and soul of a puppy who has never known what a carefree life is like. She will make you laugh with her puppyish run and her joyful, silly ball play if you are the person who can convince her that she is safe and loved.

We’ve only scratched the surface of the playful, loving dog that lies within, she’s still waiting for her forever home to give her all.

If you are interested in meeting this special girl, please contact Teresa via email at baltao@sbcglobal.net. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
