Austin

We “discovered” this out of work, character actor at a local shelter. At some point Austin must have been a regular player for a lucky family because he is too healthy and well socialized to have been working as a stray for long. Although he is a small male unlikely to exceed a maximum weight of 65 lbs, his personality is bigger than life. Once he hits you with that award winning smile, you won’t be able to resist his charms.

Austin made his debut at the May 3rd adoption event in Encinitas and received tremendous accolades for his stellar performance. His super friendly, upbeat attitude stole the show! Given that he tried to engage all of the other dogs in his fun and games, Austin would make a great playmate for the dog that you already have at home.

He craves an audience for his lively antics and absolutely adores being around people. Austin is so eager to please there is no doubt that he would thrilled to perform parlor tricks for your family and friends, if you were so inclined to spend some time training him. It wouldn’t take long as Austin is able to keep his high energy under control and focus on instruction from his director. He has already mastered the art of walking well on the leash with a bounce in his step.

Austin is destined for greatness because like any great performer, he can make you smile. If you want to catch this rising star, you had better sign him to a permanent, canine-companion contract soon!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
