Banjo

You couldn’t possibly have a bad day with Banjo at your side. Banjo is the ultimate optimist. He sees everyday as a new opportunity for fun and everyone as a potential playmate.

I made Banjo’s acquaintance at a recent adoption event. As soon as he exited his crate, he looked up at me with eyes full of enthusiasm and decided it was going to be a good day. Instead of staking out a good spot to wee before entering Petsmart, Banjo rolled around in the grass with his legs in the air begging for a hearty belly rub. How could I resist indulging this adorable little pup in some much deserved affection? The contented look on his face said it all; it was going to be a great day.

At least it started out that way…. We noticed that Banjo was limping a bit later that afternoon, so we didn’t waste any time getting him to the veterinarian for a check-up. We were completely shocked and saddened to hear that Banjo’s symptoms are the result of hip dysplasia. Our happy, little boy needs hip surgery!

Unfortunately when it rains, it pours. In addition to Dino’s life saving chemotherapy, the medical treatment recently required to relieve Danaka’s excruciating painful tetanus infection has broken our piggy bank. It seems like every time we make a dent in our veterinary bill, another sweet, little orphan comes to us pleading for help. We just can’t look into their sad eyes and refuse to ease their pain and discomfort. To alleviate Banjo’s suffering your generosity is essential to fund his surgery. After his surgery, Banjo will also need a quiet nurturing, foster home in which to recuperate.

If you have met Banjo, you know that his happy smile and youthful exuberance are contagious. You have already observed people’s spirits being lifted a notch after sharing some affection with him. Please help us give Banjo the care that he needs to continue broadcasting his joy among each and every person lucky enough to cross his path.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
