Caisson

Caisson is an absolutely big, cuddly, five year old teddy bear of a dog. He was adopted from us a year ago but sadly his adoptive mom has been diagnosed with Grand Mal Seizures and can no longer care for him.

Caisson is excellent with other dogs whether they be big or small. The dog park and dog beach are two of his favorite destinations. As for favorite activities, he loves to play with soccer balls and basketballs, rolling them around with his paws and his nose. Perhaps he'd be a good addition to one of our soccer teams! Buckets are another favorite. If he finds one, he will throw it up in the air and catch it in his mouth. Sprinklers, however, are another story. He loves them so much that if he is out in the yard and they come on, he thinks they should be toys and carried away in his mouth.

Let's quiet down now from balls and sprinklers. Caisson loves stuffed animals and will carry them in his mouth and take them with him to bed. He loves to cuddle on the couch but he prefers to sleep in his own bed rather than join you on your bed. He loves to have his ears rubbed and is very loving and cuddly once he feels comfortable with you.

Do you think that Caisson is already too good to be true??? Here's more! Caisson rides very well in a car. He barks only when there is a reason. Barking just once when he needs to go outside is an example of one of those reasons.

Finally, Caisson has a pancreatic disorder and requires that a pancreatic enzyme power be sprinkled on his food. A very manageable task in exchange for having a very memorable dog enter your home and your life.

Currently in the boarding facility, he would love to have a warm bed and a place to call home whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home.

If you are interested in meeting Caisson, please contact Teresa via email at baltao@sbcglobal.net. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
