Carley

Carly is about 8 years old and is as mellow as they come. She was rescued from a high kill shelter and like most of the dogs at the shelter, she came in as stray, so the shelter didn’t have any history on her. She would be the perfect fit for a relaxed home who wanted a quiet dog to shower with care and attention. She is housebroken and very well behaved, with no anxieties. She is a little on the heavy side right now, but her new foster mom is taking care of that with a good diet and some exercise and she's already lost some weight!

Carley is very people and dog friendly. She loves to go to the dog park/beach every night. She is particularly fond of small dogs, as they are so much fun to chase, so when she finds a forever home, and will have a "little" companion, she will need someone whom is very sure of themselves. We are not sure how Carley is with cats because she hasn't been able to come in contact with one since we've had her. She is an excellent walker on the leash, but she does bark at other dogs when she is on a leash, (that is her "bad" side) it's not aggressive and she doesn't pull but she likes to "talk". She is also in the process of learning basic obedience commands (she's a natural!) Carley doesn't really seem to know what toys are for but she loves to chew on bones!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
