Chandler
Chandler is now safe in a foster home and here is some infromation about Chnadler from his foster Dad:
Chandler was a nervous boy the first few days he was with us. He'd pace around the house and just wasn't sure where to go or what to do. He even made a couple of escape attempts by squeezing around one of us and out the front door. He's calmed down a ton since then.
He knows his name, will come when you call, and has learned to sit, lay down, and we're working on shake. He's not food aggressive, but seems ever so slightly possessive of toys. We've almost got that broken and I'd not worry about it. He loves running! He prefers to run with Mia (our GSD) and they play tag in the back yard frequently. He enjoys car rides as long as he gets to get out and go for a short walk when you stop the car. He was great on the trip to/from Irvine for Charlie's adoption.
He does get excited when he sees new dogs, but he's fine once he's introduced. He loves following me around the house and always sits/lays down near where ever I'm at. Shelby says he still gets a little anxious when I leave for work. Very well crate trained. In fact, he prefers to sleep in his crate. Completely potty trained... no accidents. He’s good on the leash and would love to have another Sister to romp around with in the back yard. In fact, I'd say he really needs an active home where he can go to dog parks, dog beach, hiking or long walks. Oh, and he plays fetch really well too and is good with my cat! He's always interested in what they are doing, but he never runs after them and always stops if I say "no".
We are asking a donation of $500.00 for Chandler's adoption.
If you are interested in meeting Chandler, please contact Teresa via email at baltao@sbcglobal.net. Don't forget to fill out our online application.
The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Donate today using PayPal! Help us save dogs!
