Chanel

Chanel & Troy having some fun together!

Chanel is a sweet, energetic girl that looks as elegant as her name implies! But don’t let that fool you: she’s a lot of fun at parties—doggy parties, that is ;) Chanel just had her first play date with two neighborhood dogs (a lab, and a rot/lab mix) and she was the life of the party. She wore a beautiful, shiny coat and enjoyed “dancing” with her new friends at the neighborhood dog park. Her admirers commented on how beautiful she looked as she ran around the party with her friends. Of course, she loves to be brushed before and after her dates…

All kidding aside, Chanel is a sweet girl who knows how to “sit”, “lay down”, and is learning “kennel” and “paw” although she will spontaneously do the latter when she’s welcoming you. Chanel can be silly, too. She has a “slow propeller tail” when she’s happy. She’s still a young girl, so she is still learning not to jump when she greets you. Chanel does not notice cats nearby, except for when they decide to run...She's living across from a doggy park, so she is getting used to all the "activity" of people coming and going with friends, and sometimes is a bit vocal about wanting to join them. Finally, she is quickly learning to “look both ways and sit” before crossing the street, and learning to “heel” when walking as well. Foster Mom also has her practice "sitting and waiting" when small dogs and babies in strollers go by her on the street. Chanel is learning her manners well!

The funniest thing about Chanel is she likes to “talk” when she walks around the house. Yes, she’s a gabby girl and has a lot to say at times. Think Scooby-Doo and “ruh-roh” and you get the idea! Her foster mom thinks that she does all that talking because Chanel is home alone during the day and has a lot to say when “foster mom” comes home!

Add all this to the fact that she’s completely housebroken, on the smaller side for a GSD, loves other dogs her size, and you can see that Chanel’s the perfect girl for some lucky family or single out there.
