Clover

Meet sweet, shy Clover. Rescued on her last morning by a good Samaritan, we were drawn to her story when we heard that her so called owner was dumping her because he had "too many dogs" and "all the puppies sold but this one". Add to the fact that she was getting beaten up by some older dogs, well, we get a shivering scared to figure out.

Happily, Clover is a resilient little lady. With adorable airplane ears, she has fit right in to her new foster home with multiple shepherds. She was terrified for the first 10 minutes, barking in terror, but after her foster family (people & dogs) ignored her antics, she decided to figure out where everyone went. She is still tentative but has improved about 70% in her first 12 hours.

Clover will happily sleep on a dog bed in the bedroom, let herself outside to use the facilities (yes, after that rough start in life, she appears to be housebroken!) and is learning to sit and come when called. She is a sharp little cookie!

Clover would do best in a home with another dog so she can continue to learn appropriate "doggie" behavior. She probably shouldn't be in a home with small children just because of her shyness and skittishness. While we are 100% confident that Clover will come around quickly, sometimes the movements of little ones can work against a dog like her.
