"WooHoo, this is the greatest day of my life! Yippie!! FREEDOM!!!!!!!!! This morning while my kennel was getting cleaned, I heard that there was a couple from Coastal German Shepherd Rescue coming to bail some dogs out of the shelter. So I, in all my wisdom, put my big ears up and barked really loud---like all shepherds do--and what do you know they thought I was a shepherd!! Wow, I could not believe my eyes as they loaded me up with a bunch of big shepherds. Yowzers!! I'm so lucky!! I wonder if this means that I get to get a home of my own one day! For right now, I'm just SO happy that I'm safe!"
Notes from the rescuer:
This little dynamo was labeled as a shepherd mix and from his picture he appeared to be a small white shepherd. Well, pictures can be deceiving! When we arrived at the shelter and they kennel attendant pulled Cooper out, we thought that he had grabbed the wrong dog. After double checking, Cooper was the dog in the picture and he was in danger of being put to sleep that very day. We knew that if we decided not to take him, we would have just given him a death sentence. So, with that said, Cooper left with us! He is a darling, bundle of spunk! He is probably just a year old and cute as a button---probably a shiba inu mix, roughly 30 pounds. He is very deserving and will make a wonderful addition--even if he is not a shepherd!
