Denali
Unfortunately her roommate was not on the same page as Denali. It took about 20 minutes of being together when this new found friend of Denali’s started attacking her. Poor Denali was shocked and stunned, she didn’t even fight back. The shelter people broke up the fight, and Denali got the worst end of it. Lots of puncture wounds on her face and her back. The other dog was moved out of Denali’s kennel without a scratch.
Denali stayed at the shelter being completely frightened for 25 days. Her immune system began shutting down due to stress, she started to get a cold and then kennel cough, and she knew that nobody was interested in her. Her time was up and that’s when we got the call.
Denali rode from Seaca all the way down to San Diego in a sedan with another German Shepherd (Hudson) in the backseat. They hung out in the car for a good 2 hours and both dogs were perfectly content. Denali felt safe having Hudson with her, her new best friend.
She came out of the car a changed dog; happy, tail wagging and lots of sniffing around. She had the biggest smile on her face, where was the camera when you needed it the most? Denali knew she was now out of that ugly, noisy and stinky room that she once lived in. Her wounds were attended to, she was brushed, loved and got a ton of attention!
Denali is a sweet girl who is wonderfully affectionate and loves both people and other dogs.
We are asking a $400.00 donation for Denali's adoption.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis.
