Pebbles has been adopted! 09-28-2013

Female German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs.

Miss Pebbles is housebroken and she does well in a crate but she doesn't necessarily need to be crated. In her fosters' house, she mostly ignores the cats, but Pebbles will occasionally bring them one of her squeaky toys to see if they'll play with her. Never aggressive with them, but occasionally curious. She's great on the leash, loves hiking, and makes a good jogging partner. Pebbles is very sweet and loves to just be near you when you're sitting on the couch. She'll fall asleep with one paw on your foot, just to make sure you're close! She doesn't know basic verbal commands like "sit," but she desperately seeks your approval and knows her boundaries- like not jumping on the couch, how to lay down so we can put her leash on, and waiting at the open door before we leave to go for a walk. Pebbles wants to become friends with every dog she meets on her walks and when she has been introduced to other dogs in various backyards, she demonstrates very good social skills. She's mellow in the house, but playful outside. She's not a chewer, barker, jumper, or beggar. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her; we know you will too!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
