Eddie
Needless to say, Eddie is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door. He knows how to sit and will gently take a treat as a reward. He likes to play ball and will drop it at your feet after it has been retrieved. Well, most of the time he will drop it at your feet, but sometimes it is fun to play keep-away! Eddie gets along well with other dogs, but he's really not very interested in playing with them.
Cats, on the other hand, are a different story. Rumor has it that he's afraid of furry felines. In fact, the first time he was introduced to a cat at Rescue, the kitty snarled and hissed at him, and Eddie immediately hid behind our evaluator, probably fearing an attack. Although he can rise to the occasion and bark, especially when his foster brother starts it first, Eddie isn't a barker, although he will let you know if the situation warrants a bark or two. He'd love to join you in the car for rides, and he walks nicely on a leash, although he's been known to get a bit excited when he sees another dog in the distance. Finally, Eddie gives little, gentle kisses, so he's hoping that someone out there who is reading his story will want his kisses as well. (By the way, when you meet Eddie for the first time, take a look at his forehead; he has wonderful heart-shaped markings, which you can somewhat see in the photos. Do you know what that means? That means he is a love!)

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis.
