Enzo

Do you remember West Side Story when Maria sang these Stephen Sondheim lyrics: "I feel pretty. Oh, so pretty. I feel pretty and witty and bright!" If Enzo were singing this song, he'd change the lyrics to something like this: "I feel happy. Oh, so happy. I feel happy and happy and happy all the time." Okay, he knows that his lyrics aren't quite as charming as those sung by Maria but he really, really is happy all the time! In fact, "friendly" is his middle name.

Enzo was found as a stray and quite likely has a bit of a Golden Retriever in his genetic makeup. He loves unconditionally and if he ever had baggage, he left it behind somewhere. During his stay at the shelter, he lived with Bear (aka Papa Bear) and respectfully kept him company until both of them moved to live with us at Rescue. He has lots of play energy with other dogs and thinks that all dogs are friendly. He's going to depend on the new humans in his life to make certain that everyone else wants to play as much as he wants to play. Unconditional love is wonderful and right now, Enzo doesn't know that some dogs aren't willing or able to accept it!

Enzo would love to live with someone who will take him to the beach, play at dog parks, or even hang out at a cafe or two. After all, when you have such a happy personality, you want to share it with others. He won't be a big dog so he'll be a perfect copilot in the front seat of your car. (No back seats please because Enzo drools and get just a tad car sick.) That's why we describe him as up front and personal!

This adorable puppy is currently in a boarding facility. He would love to have a warm bed and someone to love him, whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home. Could you open your heart and home to this handsome boy?

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
