Faline
Kind, soft and gentle. It's what strikes you when you first meet Faline for she truly is Bambi's childhood playmate reborn in a canine body. Sweet in every sense of the word, we think this little angel may have been born a stray without much if any contact with humans. And so poor Faline was fearful of everything, especially humans.
Because of her high level of fear, our rescue team knew she'd fail her safer test at the Riverside shelter, so they whisked her out of harm's way. When she first came to us, she was quite timid, preferring to hide rather than accept the love and affection her fosters were ready to lavish on her. And her first few days were spent in hiding in the laundry room.
But in time she began to come out of her shell. Slowly, carefully, she began to venture further and further into her new surroundings for short visits. And she began to realize that these big scary humans were okay after all and that their touch could be comforting and reassuring and healing. All Faline needed was a little TLC. Having that, she sailed through her first adoption event and by the end of the day was walking with the confidence of a dog reborn.
Faline will be a go everywhere, do everything kind of dog. She loves everything, small children, other dogs and even cats. She rides well in a car and is a quiet guest in her household. Faline is a 4 to 5 month old little girl and is up to date on all her shots. While perfect in almost every way, Faline is a puppy and she has some puppy habits to grow out of, but she is completely house trained during the daytime. Faline doesn't love being in a crate, who can blame her, and hasn't had much time on a leash so we are working on that. But with time and love and gentle guidance, Faline will become the perfect dog for some lucky family.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out our online application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Due to the overwhelming response we get to puppies, we will not be able to provide information until we have an application on file.
The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Donate today using PayPal! Help us save dogs!
