Gizelle

One of Elvis Presley's most famous songs (which he composed along with Vera Matson) has these lyrics: "Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go." Those lovely words are probably sung these days by Gizelle, a beautiful eighteen month old girl who recently arrived at Rescue. Before coming to Rescue, she had been picked up as a stray by a high kill shelter. Shelter staff said that it looked as if she may still have been nursing puppies or had very recently weaned them. However, there were no puppies to be found. Anywhere. Imagine how distraught she must have been. Not only was she a stray, living on the streets, but the puppies to whom she had given birth were not to be found. Not surprisingly, a little reassurance and love are in order for this sweet girl. If you take the time and sit with her, she will soon approach you and give you kisses. Won't you welcome Gizelle into your life? She could then sing the last two lines of the song: "You have made my life complete, and I love you so."

Gizelle is currently in a boarding facility. She would love to have a warm bed and someone to love her, whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home. Could you open your heart and home to this beauty?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
