Garret

Garret is one of six puppies born to Gracie on Christmas day. He is the last of the litter of six awaiting his forever home. Garret is housebroken, crate trained, sits nicely for treats and has a natural heel position when on leash. He is a laid back puppy, incredibly easy to live with, who only wants to follow his foster mom wherever she goes. He spends most of his outdoor time off leash, content to stay at foster mom's knee. Garret was the runt of the litter and is not expected to grow very large. He will make a wonderful, calm and loyal friend to whomever is lucky enough to take this little man home.

Update 10/27/09
It's time for a foster mom update for Garrett, our Christmas Day baby who is still waiting for a forever home. That means he's been waiting for a home since he was a little boy of six weeks of age. His report card was already full of superlatives so we can only add more to the list. He gets along with other dogs and is very easy to live with whether you are a human or another dog. He continues to be laid back and is adding to his repertoire of good behavior.

In addition to being a delight to walk, he sits, knows "wait" even when it is feeding time or time to go in and out of doors, will go to the bathroom on command, and has excellent recall. And to top all of this, he's a wagger! Garrett would love to open up holiday gifts this year in a forever home!

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out our online application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Due to the overwhelming response we get to puppies, we will not be able to provide information until we have an application on file.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
