Guiness

Photo Coming Soon!

When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are." Written by Ned Washington and Leigh Harline, this song was introduced in the Disney movie, Pinocchio. No one knows how many nights Guiness looked at the sky and wished that his humans would return and take him home. Many dogs can tell a similar story. They had families to whom they were devoted in a way that only a dog can be. Then the dogs were abandoned and they'll never know why.

From being a stray dog on the streets, Guiness' story turned a corner when he was found and picked up by a family who took him to their home for a few days. Unable to keep him, they relinquished him to Rescue. The family described him as sweet and seemingly housebroken. He knows some commands, e.g. "sit" and "shake" and would even respond to some commands when given in Spanish. He was good with their kids, their puppy, and their cat. Who could ask for more? Won't you welcome this handsome boy into your home so it is no longer necessary for Guiness to "wish upon a star"?

He is currently in a boarding facility. He would love to have a warm bed and someone to love him, whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home. Could you open your heart and home to this handsome boy?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
