Halo

Halo is a beautiful female White German Shepherd. A victim of a misunderstanding, she now finds herself alone in a world that she is unaccustomed to. Her behaviour tells us that she was probably very much a homebody and didn’t get out too much in the big wide world. So when she lost her home, she not only lost her family, she truly lost the only world she ever knew. And that is when her heart broke.

Halo was befriended by one of our trainer volunteers who worked diligently to help bring some structure back into her world. And she is coming back. She is not as fearful as she was at the shelter and her sweet liquid eyes are beginning to trust again. A smile breaks through now and then and she is even more beautiful.

Halo is a gentle soul and needs a quiet, structured, supportive home where love and trust are part of everyday life and continued debut in the greater world are handled slowly with gentleness. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
