Havens

Haven's could be nicknamed "Dora the Explorer"! Havens is a spunky 11 week old who is always ready for action and up for any new adventure. This stunning youngster is no shrinking violet! She loves to rough house, tumble and play and is a bit of a tomboy. When she is not out and about with brother Holden, she loves to be petted and played with by her foster parents. Our little Havens is looking for a family who will fill her life with wonderful adventures and love.

Havens and her littermates were born in the Rescue on March 23, 2009. His mom Harley and dad Hanson were turned into Coastal after their owner died unexpectedly. We found out shortly there after that Harley was pregnant. She delivered and raised her 8 pups and now has a new family of her own.

Both Havens and her brother Holden are considered blue and tan. Right now their coats have a gun-metal grey cast to them, but their coats will continue to darken as they get older. They will grow up to look like their dad Hanson with possibly more of a saddle like their mom Harley. When they are mature, their saddle and mask will look like it is black with a “dusty” cast to it. Blue is a simple recessive dilute that only affects the black pigment expression of their fur and skin. While it is not “rare” it is a bit uncommon so some people may think these pups are mixes.

Havens and her littermates have been lovingly raised by the Coastal Foster Volunteers and have had a great start in life. They a very social and love people. They are typical playful pups who delight in rough housing with other dogs or getting attention from their humans. These pups have been well socialized and have very social, stable temperaments.

Looking for action packed days full of love and folly for the next 10 plus years? Then Havens is your girl. She will be a wonderful addition for a family looking to adopt a new fur kid!

If you are interested in meeting Havens, please fill out our online application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Due to the overwhelming response we get to puppies, we will not be able to provide information until we have an application on file.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
