Heidi

The stars must have been aligned for Heidi, as this sweet girl made it out of the scary, high kill shelter just in the nick of time. Her foster family reports that she is adjusting well and is enjoying the company of her 16 year old human foster sister and her 2 furry foster brothers. After a well deserved spa treatment, Heidi is ready for the next phase of her life, a much happier one to begin.

Update 9/03/09 from Heidi's foster mom
Heidi's foster family reports that, like a typical German Shepherd, she was aloof initially, but has quickly warmed up and enjoys tummy rubs and a good roll in the grass. She is learning to walk properly on a lead and is eager to please. Heidi is being crate trained and enjoys being inside with her family. Heidi is also learning how to play with her furry foster siblings and is very attached to her teenage human sibling!
