Heather

Heather is a sweet little girl about five months old who was rescued from a high kill shelter along with her three sisters and her mom. She's fortunate to be living in a foster home with her sister but she'd still really like to have a forever home. Heather is an independent little girl who is very friendly although she's not necessarily a lap dog. She does have a mind of her own. She's curious about the world which means you have to keep an eye on her if she is loose outdoors and even in the house because she'll wander off to explore on her own. She has lots of doggie roommates in her foster home and according to her foster mom, she hasn't demonstrated any aggressive behavior. She'd prefer, however, not to live with an overly dominant roommate.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Teresa via email at baltao@sbcglobal.net. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
