Hush

"Hush, little baby, don't you cry" is a lullaby that perhaps many of you remember from childhood. Mama promised baby a diamond ring and then a looking glass and then a billy goat and lots of other things but at the end of the lullaby, what was important was love. Our Hush is a sweet girl who is also waiting for love (after all, puppies don't need diamond rings or a looking glass or a billy goat!).

Hush is a typical youngster who loves to play - with adults, kids, or other dogs - from the time her day begins in the morning until she finally falls asleep in the evening. If she isn't playing, she loves going for rides in her foster family's truck. And then there's the dog park! Three or four times a week is a good start, but Hush thinks she might be able to manage another day or so without running out of energy.

In her foster home, Hush lives with two five year old Golden Retrievers and a two year old German Shepherd. And horses. Talk about lots of playmates! Hush and her canine friends entertain each other during the day when they are on their own. Hush is already completely trained and is using a doggy door. Good girl that she is, she doesn't climb on counters or knock stuff off coffee and end tables. She does very well outside without a leash, stays with her human friends in the front yard, and does very well on trail rides with her canine and equine friends.

Like most young Shepherds, Hush enjoys chewing on anything rubber, plastic, leather, or stuffed. Most of the time she is just carrying her toys, shoes, and food bowls around. Sometimes the food bowls accompany her through the doggy doors. Talk about cute!

When it's finally time to call an end to her day, Hush sleeps on a doggy bed next to her humans' bed. Always so loving when everyone is up and around, she is very calm when everyone goes to bed. It's as if she knows it is sleep time. Won't you invite Hush to live in your home?
