Kane

Kane is a large, white, neutered male about 6 years old. This affectionate, gentle giant thinks he's a lap dog! Yes, he'll happily crawl right up into your lap for hugs and kisses. But this mellow guy is just as happy lying quietly by your feet.

He's housebroken and knows exactly what a doggie door is for. He rides well in a car. He enjoys rough-housing and playing with his people, but hasn't shown a lot of interest in playing with other dogs, although he gets along quite well with dogs of all sizes. He does not, however, get along with cats and horses.

Kane is not a "barker," but he doesn't hesitate to let loose with his very big bark when he feels the situation warrants it. Kane's basic manners are quite good, and he's an angel in the house, but he could benefit from some training in areas such as not jumping, walking on a leash, and coming when called. He's learning what "come" means, but he's clearly more accustomed to responding to "kissy" noises and whistles. With those, he'll be at your side in moment!

So why is this wonderful guy looking for a home? Well, he lost his last home because of the cat problem. Other than that, his family loved him like crazy. And so will you.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
