Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

“Sugar and spice and everything nice,” that is what Kaydee is made of. However, this knowledge was kept secret by a hoard of hungry ticks until Kaydee was picked up by the shelter. It didn’t take the people at the shelter long to recognize Kaydee’s sweet demeanor. In fact, the shelter supervisor was so taken with this little sweetheart that she came in on her day off to rid Kaydee of the pesky ticks and give her a beauty bath. When Kaydee hadn’t been adopted after a couple of weeks, the supervisor placed the call to Coastal that ultimately saved Kaydee’s precious, young life.

At barely a year old, Kaydee is overflowing with enthusiasm and ready to accompany you on any adventure that you have in store for her. Kaydee loves to run. If you are looking for a buddy to accompany you on your daily run, Kaydee is the girl for you. Once you establish the pace, she falls into step right beside you.

Given that Kaydee has so much youthful exuberance, she will benefit from some obedience training. Kaydee loves to play and is certain to engage all of the pups in her training class in some fun and games. However, Kaydee needs to learn a little etiquette about cultivating friendships with both two and four legged buddies as she has the tendency to jump in without making formal introductions.

There is no doubt that Kaydee will become the trainer’s pet in obedience class because she is soooooooooooo smart. Kaydee is so eager to please that it didn’t take more than ten minutes and a handful of tasty, bacon treats before she was able to demonstrate her mastery of the “sit” command at the last adoption event. Kaydee was so proud of herself that she wore a big, ear to ear grin until she drifted peacefully to sleep on the floor at the back of our adoption venue at Petsmart.

When you take Kaydee home, you will be smiling too. Kaydee is 100% GSD in all respects…German Shepherd Dog or Great Sweet Dog!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
