Kilo

Do you remember what it was like when one of your friends decided to set you up with a blind date? Kilo, a very handsome black and tan boy who is less than two years old, wants to tell you why that sometimes just isn't a good idea. After arriving at Rescue from a high kill shelter in Riverside where he lived after being picked up as a stray, Rescue decided that a first date with a twelve month old girl puppy would be a great idea. Well, Kilo wants to say that if you are attacked by a crazy girl, the best thing to do is just turn your head in another direction. It just wasn't worth the effort to fight back and after that bothersome little girl was pulled away, Kilo just walked away. No more dates for a while please! Kilo can't figure out what she was all about because he happens to like all dogs, males and females. In fact, his kennel mate at the shelter was another boy and they got along great.

Kilo loves food but sometimes he just doesn't know where the treat ends and your fingers begin. Until knows that food will never leave his side, we are giving him his treats with an open palm. He loves to go for car rides and prefers to be your copilot. Riding in a crate in the car is not Kilo's idea of fun and he gets quite car sick.

We are still learning more about Kilo so stand by for more updates. We are certain that when he gets back to a good weight, Kilo will be one sexy, handsome and strong boy! Girls, watch out!

Kilo is currently in a boarding facility. He would love to have a warm bed and someone to love him, whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home. Could you open your heart and home to this handsome boy?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
