Kodiak
Kodiak was so timid and unsure of himself at first. He must have been suffering from some kind of identity crisis because he looked more like a baby bear than a GSD. In addition, Kodiak seemed to have two left feet and thumped about no more quietly or gracefully than a herd of wild elephants. He didn’t know what to make of all the furless folks that kept fawning over him. However, it didn’t take long before Kodiak learned to trust his foster family. With a little patience and lots of loving reassurance, he started coming to life.
Kodiak discovered his inner puppy when we introduced him to a very patient, 120 lb. GSD. With his new role model, Kodiak’s spirit really started to soar and his feet took flight. The quiet pitter patter of his tiny feet was now the most welcome sound. Kodiak loves to coax his big buddy into hours upon hours of playful romps in the sweet smelling grass. When Kodiak has finally consumed all of his energy, he thanks his new found friend for the fun and frolic with lots of sweet kisses. Kodiak has also been making the acquaintance of a feline friend. It didn’t take her long to get him trained. Kodiak holds a high level of respect for kitty and allots her plenty of personal space.
We have done our part by getting Kodiak ready for his forever home. Now you get to do the easy part…taking him home and loving him for life!
Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! If you are interested in meeting Kodiak, please fill out our online application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Due to the overwhelming response we get to puppies, we will not be able to provide information until we have an application on file.
The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Donate today using PayPal! Help us save dogs!
