Lexi

Lexi came to us from yet another high kill shelter where she was labeled a "stray". Lexi has been in a foster home with other dogs and has shown that she definitely has a strong personality. She is very confident and happy. She will stand up to the big dogs in her pack and most likely will do best in a home with a submissive male (although she is doing fine with females in the foster home). Lexi is some mix of shepherd, maybe golden retriever with perhaps a little Chow swirled in. She will make a great family dog and is very gentle with humans.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Beth via email at beth.coastal@gmail.com. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
