Liberty
Liberty’s Adoption Event Debut was on January 26th, and she did a fantastic job! She hung out with 17 other dogs, she played well together with the boys and the girls, AND she loved hanging out in the back of a PT Cruiser with 2 other dogs. What we also noticed is that she taught her new found friends that tipping the water bucket was a lot of fun! She would tip it and watch us pick up the bucket to get more water, and she’d tip it again and with a smile, she watched us do the same pick up the bucket and get more water, this went on for a good long while. We finally realized that now, the rest of her “buddies” started to do the same thing, and really the joke was on us, they would tip the bucket and watch each of us pick it up and get water. We figured out that they were probably communicating in their own language as though saying “this is a really good trick, see, watch this, I’ll tip the bucket and they all come running to get more water. You guys should try it” and of course they all did. It took awhile for us to catch on but we did!!!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
