Maverick

This big brawny fellow is actually a bit of a chicken. We suspect this is due to little exposure to much of anything. Like any smart shepherd, he has started to gain confidence as he gets to see more sights than a backyard. Mav is bilingual and responds better to Spanish - he sits, downs and comes easily.

Maverick has lived with tiny children and absolutely loved them - he let them climb all over him, hang off his tail, you name it, very tolerant. He also has an endearing (and heartwrenching) habit of wrapping his paws around your forearms when you take him back to his run. Its hard to walk away and leave him but with no open foster homes, he's having to wait in boarding.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
