Mayah

Mayah is a pretty 1 year old black and tan female. She was just rescued from a high kill shelter. Like most of the dogs at the shelter, she came in as stray, so the shelter didn’t have any history on her. At this time, we don't know much about her other than our evaluator's observations and notes. We will post updates to her bio as we spend time and get to know her better.

Update 7/17: Mayah's foster mom writes:
Mayah is friendly, social, playful and energetic! Her foster brothers and sister accepted her quickly and she has enjoyed being with other dogs. She plays with them and loves being chased. She loves rawhides, string bones and chew toys. She is gaining confidence and is very affectionate with any humans who come by. She is house trained, too, and uses the doggie door. Mayah can sit, "go to bed" and lay down on command. Mayah is learning to live with cats, too. She is still young and will chase a cat if it runs, but if it sits or walks by, she will sniff it, follow it, and leave it be.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
