Minka

When Minka and her main canine, Midas, arrived at Coastal with four puppies in tow, both Mama and Papa were mere skin and bones. It took no less than two weeks of the royal foster treatment before Midas and Minka had plumped up enough to regain the sparkle in their eyes and the wag in their tails.

Ever the devoted caretaker, Minka has been doting on her family and waiting patiently while they were settled in their own perfect homes. Now it is her turn for some much deserved pampering in a loving home of her own. Minka is definitely enjoying her new found freedom from maternal responsibilities. She really enjoys getting out about town and meeting new dogs and people. Passersby can’t help but stop and stare when they see her walking along because once she gets going, her left ear starts flapping as if she were in a parade waving to the crowd. Minka doesn’t need a marching band to keep in step; she is always right there by your side following your lead.

Despite her striking, one-of-a-kind coloring, Minka is as modest as they come. This past weekend, she seemed a bit surprised to discover that the pretty girl she saw reflected in the store window was none other than herself. Minka has such a sweet temper and good natured personality that she won’t let such self-recognition won’t go to her head. That is just the kind of dog that she is...a loving girl who puts her family first.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
