Onyx

Onyx is a beautiful bi-colored female. We believe she is about 2 years old. She was rescued from a high kill shelter, very pregnant. Even though we already had 5 moms with babies, we couldn't say no to this sweet girl. She happily rode home from the shelter, grateful for the second chance she had been given. From day one she was very easy to handle and allowed her foster mom to give her a bath, monitor her temperature and check the the puppies daily.

Onyx delivered her 10 puppies easily and has done a great job raising them. She is a loving and attentive mom. She is also very comfortable with people handling her pups, which is also another example of her wonderful temperament. Her pups are social and outgoing like she is and very active. We are starting to wean them, so Onyx will be ready for a home of her own soon!

Onyx is a very sweet and loving girl. She loves people and loves to be petted. She is house broken and very well mannered. She walks nicely on a leash and likes other dogs. She has been a wonderful houseguest in her foster home and will be a wonderful addition to any family.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
