Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Meet Kona, he is a 10 month old beautiful boy who is full of love!!! Kona was turned into us by his previous family because they decided at 10 months that they had no time for him, they've had him since he was 7 weeks old. He is AKC registered and is originally from Missouri.

Kona has lived with a foster family who has 2 kids and 3 cats. He is housebroken, crate trained, sleeps through the night and is wonderful with children. He loves his toys, loves to play tug most of all and rides in the car like a champ. Like a good German Shepherd, he is a bit cautious around new people. As for the cats, he doesn't really pay them any attention.

Like any 10 month old, he is a bundle of energy. Kona will do well in an active home where he will get enough exercise and good play time. He is a bit unsure of being inside Pet Stores like Petsmart or Petco, clearly he's never been outside of his backyard with his previous family. He also does not understand and gets a bit confused when there is too much action around him. Part of this once again is the lack of exposure to the outside world.

A puppy is a big commitment, one you need to be prepared to make for 12 to 15 years. Don't think about adopting a puppy unless you are willing to go through chewed up shoes, dug up plants and obedience and training, and making sure you'll always have a place for your canine family member.
