Phoebe

Phoebe is a rock star! She spent her first 48 hours in her foster home hiding/avoiding/terrified. Her foster mom put her on a leash so she had to be part of everything going on. Didn't take long for Ms Thing to cave quickly and figure out that participating in the dog pack would be a good thing!

Today, Phebes is a different dog (this is less than 2 weeks after hopelessness) - she is silly, happy, protecting her home, has a robust appetite - here's the thing....if we didn't tell you about Phoebe's early info, no one would EVER dream that this is a dog who needed individualized attention and bootcamp participation stuff from her foster home. When you meet her, you'll say 'this is the perfect dog'....and remember, that - so many dogs that we save....they would have been euthanized in the shelters for their 'suspect' behavior....rescue groups work hard to see beyond those initial evaluations and take these dogs into homes that understand how to get the personality out. If it wern't for the networkers and the rescue group, Phoebe would be dead today. Instead, this lovely, full-of-life gal is embracing her world, making sure that her temp family KNOWS that she is on guard.

Phoebe is between 4 and 5 years old, housebroken, doesn't get on furniture, loves to play with dogs and humans, walks nicely on a leash - could she be the family member you've been searching for?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
