Smokey & the Bandit

Smokey and Bandit are in a high kill shelter and need to be saved by Tuesday April 8th! Since they are owner surrenders, they will be Eunthanized on Tuesday. Please help us help them!

Here is what the volunteer at the shelter had to say when she contacted us about this special pair:
These two dogs in kennel #72 (Smokey and Bandit) are a very unusual "couple" but they love each other and need to be rescued together! I don't understand how people can abandon dogs like these two at the shelter after having them as a part of their family for YEARS!!! What heartless people! Smokey and Bandit are so close with each other, and will be devastated if they get separated. Please help these two dogs!

#72, A338101, Smokey, owner surrender due to move, 4/5, male, brown and black German Shepherd, 3 years old, was surrendered with his buddy Bandit who is in the same kennel, very sweet and mellow, quiet and gentle, extremely close to his buddy Bandit and is protective of him, They need to be rescued together. He will be devastated to be separated from his buddy. He follows Bandit everywhere and keeps a close eye on him. He is a gentle giant! Amazingly calm, a very beautiful boy!

#72, A338102, Bandit, owner surrender due to move, 4/5, male, tan Chihuahua mix. The kennel card doesn't say anything about his age, but he looks older and walks a little funny, very sweet and quiet, extremely close to his buddy Smokey and needs to be rescued together with him.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
