Red

Meet Red! Red is a very happy, male shepherd (perhaps a mix). He is youthful both in action and appearance, estimated to be two years old, very likely younger. Red has a tan/reddish body with a traditional shepherd profile.

Red was found as a stray by one of our volunteers. They put up signs and tried to find Red's owner, but none could be found. We suspect Red was dropped off by his owners - no collar or tags. This happens all the time.

We have had Red a very short time and are getting to know him, but he appears to be very friendly with other dogs and desires a playmate. He jumped into our volunteer's vehicle and started kissing all the occupants. He seems to have a great disposition. He is slightly underweight, but with a little TLC, will be back to his ideal weight in no time.

In addition to the attraction to other dogs, he has a high ball drive - he plays fetch and performs most commands (sit, down, etc.). It appears that Red had a home at some point in time, as he is very comfortable with people.
