Riley Jensen

Do you know how sometimes an animal's story just speaks to you and you know you have to act? Well, Riley and her litter mates, did just that. Maybe you read about her story in the Orange County Register? You can read it here here.

We know she's not a German Shepherd, but we HAD to help her! She's a Pit Bull Mix and about 6 months old. Sadly, someone nearly starved her to death, most likely, trying to make her become aggressive, but this dog doesn't have a mean bone in her body so that didn't work. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her just in the nick of time and rushed her to our Veterinarian for treatment. She initially weighed in at 30 pounds which is at least 20 lbs. under weight. She has thrived under foster care, is now up to 48 lbs. and looks great! She's super sweet, gentle, playful, good on a leash and housebroken. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves nothing more than to snuggle and get a good belly rub. If you have ever heard that Pit Bulls are mean, this dog will prove to you and everyone she meets that is not always true. She is the most loving, little love bug and she is always wagging her tail despite her rough start. Can you provide love, good food, plenty of water and exercise to this sweet gal? We promise you will instantly fall in love the minute you meet her! Let's give her the life she deserves...

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
