Ruger
After two months, his good Samaritan could no longer keep him so Ruger came to Rescue. They told us that Ruger is great with dogs whether it be a little Chihuahua or a big Great Dane or another German Shepherd. When he was with these dogs, he exhibited no food aggression or resource guarding. Ruger loves to play and knows some basic commands such as "sit" and "stay". While Ruger didn't indicate an interest in jumping over the fence, he was a bit of a fence chewer. In his temporary home, he was comfortable around women and a little uncertain around men. He interacted well with children but he didn't meet any cats in his temporary home so we don't know whether he has lived with them in his prior life. Finally, Ruger demonstrated some separation anxiety when his human family was gone for more than four hours but given the uncertainties he experienced over the last few months, perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise. Ruger would love to croon his love song to you because he knows he'll love you forever.
He is currently in a boarding facility. He would love to have a warm bed and someone to love him, whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home. Could you open your heart and home to this handsome boy?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis.
