Rust

Poor Rust in the shelter, he is smiling now he is with Coastal!

After Rust's companion, CeCe, moved to a foster home, his favorite volunteer could not leave Rust alone at the kennel. He just seemed so lonely.

From Rust's foster mom:
"He now lives with me, another foster dog and two birds. He has settled in nicely and I have learned what a pleasure it is to have him around. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body; in fact we were chased by a loose Chihuahua in the neighborhood on our daily walk. He has not had one accident in the house and I have yet to hear him bark.

He loves attention and is just about the biggest cuddle bug I have ever seen. I have never seen a dog so happy to see you in the morning and the funny thing is he sleeps in my room on a bed right next to my bed. I think he would do very well with any critter as long as they were not aggressive with him as this might stress him. He is in my opinion the perfect dog. All he wants in life is to lie at your feet and snooze. He is in fact a gentle giant.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
