Scotty

There aren't enough superlatives to describe Scotty! He's one of the sweetest, gentlest guys we've ever seen. He loves other dogs and people too - we haven't tested him with cats yet, but we think he might be fine with them too.

Scotty has damaged ligaments and tendons in one of his front legs. Upon further examination, including xrays, its been determined that he was most likely hit by a car - he suffered a broken pelvis and femur in his back end but both fractures have healed. His front leg may require surgery - we are giving it 4 - 6 weeks of exercise, good nutrition and care to see if the ligaments tighten up. His ankle joint will either be fused or a brace will be made for him to wear for additional support. In the meantime, he is living in a foster home with other dogs and he will sleep in a crate or loose in the house - he quicly caught on to what being housebroken means! This is one wonderful young man!

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
