Shya

Shya is an adorable 4 month old female puppy. She was just rescued from a high kill shelter. Like most of the dogs at the shelter, she came in as stray, so the shelter didn’t have any history on her. She must have read the bus signs wrong and ended up at the shelter. Otherwise, it's a mystery how she landed in an animal control vehicle. Other than the rather large ticks she had, she appeared to have not been on the street long. She has a bundle of confidence and energy. She and Remi had loads of fun running together after the long van ride to freedom. We will post updates to her bio as we spend time and get to know her better.

Poor little Shya is currently in a boarding facility. On her first night away from a high kill shelter, she was safe and sound at the kennel. However, even though the kennel floor is heated and she had a blanket, she'd really like to be in a home with a family. Do you have an extra warm bed in your home? Shyla would really appreciate going home for a few nights for a sleepover. (Or maybe they could be forever nights!) She would love to have a warm bed and a place to call home whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Tracey via email at tmac@san.rr.com. Don't forget to fill out our online application.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
