Simon

Meet Simon, 3-4 month old male, German Shepherd mix (black and tan). Simon is currently 22 lbs and we believe he will be smaller than a standard shepherd (his mother is a white German Shepherd, but petite – less than 60 lbs). In a litter with 3 other females, Simon appears to be the “big man on campus.” He is a bit bossy with his sisters, and at a slightly larger size, he usually gets his way with the food and toys. Put simply, Simon is all boy!

Simon is easily socialized with people and other dogs – a very confident puppy. He is in a foster home with 4 adult German Shepherds and has no fears in trying his best to play with all of them. He is corrected often by his elders in the dog pack, but Simon always comes back for more…… He loves to play and chew on everything!

Simon is just beginning to learn his house manners – including when and where to potty, what is and IS NOT a toy, etc. He is just a baby and will require consistent guidance and obedience as he becomes a larger and even more playful puppy. Please remember, Simon will likely continue his puppy phase for the first three years of his life. Adopting a puppy is a 10-15 year commitment that requires much time and energy to develop the puppy into a wonderful companion.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

If you are interested in meeting Simon, please fill out our online application. An adoption counselor will contact you. Due to the overwhelming response we get to puppies, we will not be able to provide information until we have an application on file.

For more information about Simon, feel free to contact his foster mom, Jessi via email JessiSpini@yahoo.com
